Classic Cocktails
Negroni
The Negroni was reputed to have been developed in Monte Carlo as an adaptation of an Americano for the Count of Negrone by an anonymous bartender. As Monte Carlo was and is known for chic and quality, only the finest of ingredients would have been used. To reflect this, we here at Velluto have sourced G-vine Flourisan, a grape based gin with a strong floral note, Rosso Antico, the original Rosso recipe known for its plum and pepper nuances, and Aperol a softer and less harsh aperitif, reminiscent of blood orange and pink grapefruit. The combination of the superior floral and botanical notes of the gin, pepper and plum from the Rosso and savoury citrus cohesiveness of the Aperol make this a must try for lovers of the Negroni.
